We are always skeptical of new product claims until we put them through their paces and really hammer on a product out in the field to make sure it can do what the manufacturer says it can do. The latest product to pass our testing is the Energen Battery Charging Stations. We have been thouroughly impressed with the build quality and performance of these portable battery charging systems.
The Energen Battery Charging Stations are available in three different models:
DroneMax M10 - $129.99
The DroneMax M10 is designed specifically for the DJI Mavic Pro batteries. It can charge 2 batteries at the same time and you should be able to get about 4 total charges out of it.
DroneMax P40 - $399.99
The DroneMax P40 is the ideal system for Phantom 3 or Phantom 4 batteries. The P40 can charge 4 batteries at the same time, helping to make sure you can keep flying as much as possible.
DroneMax A40 - $499.99
The top-of-the-line A40 can handle any 3 or 4 cell batteries and comes with cables to work with Phantom 2, Mavic, Phantom 3, or Phantom 4 batteries.
All three units have exceeded our expectations and have helped keep us flying much longer when out in the field. The P40 and A40 have been the perfect compliment to our Phantom 4 Pro aircraft. Since we always try to land at 25-30% charge and this has allowed us to get 6 recharges on our batteries.
After a flying session, we will plug 4 batteries into the charging station and let them start charging and also have the Charging Station plugged into the wall so that the station's battery will get topped off when it is finished.
If you need to keep flying when out in the field, the Energen Battery Charging Stations are an excellent choice. If you do the math, it is much cheaper to buy an Energen Battery Charging Station than 4 extra batteries, so these systems will not only save you time, but save you money as well.
